Whitewater Guide
Long days on the river, followed by long nights with friends. Spend your summer as a Whitewater River Guide and join a special community of outdoor enthusiasts!
Being a guide comes with many responsibilities; Gear hauler, Photographer, Bus Driver, Customer Service, Safety Liaison, Entertainer and many more. But nothing is more important than providing clients with a thrilling and safe run down the river. After completing our guide school, you will have the skills to read the water, navigate a boat, lead a team of paddlers, recover from obstacles and provide CPR / First Aid.
Experience is not required, but an excellent attitude is. This is a unique and challenging work environment, requiring the most of your potential. We are looking for hard working, responsible, courteous outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy working in a team. If this sounds like you, join us for another epic summer! Where first impressions are made, work in the shop and help our clients start and end their day in the best way possible!
Where it all starts, the shop. Sage Canyon River Company’s inviting shop is located downtown, in the heart of Maupin. Shop employees are there to greet our clients, help them get ready for the trip, outfit clients with any necessary gear, assist with photos and ice cream, and much more. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to join the Whitewater community. Shop employees enjoy working in a fast paced environment and completing the logistical work that makes our Sage Canyon trips a step above the rest.
