Full Day Rafting

PORTAGE SHERARS FALLS

A perfect trip for those wanting both a splashing white water adventure and a scenic mellow float. Rafters on this stretch will meet at our Sage shop before heading to the put in location (Harpham Flat.) At the put-in, rafters will be fitted with a PFD and briefed on safety by their guide before jumping on board the raft. Shortly after pushing off the shore, rafters will experience the first rapid of the day, Wapinitia (Class III). Our experienced and entertaining guides will navigate rafters through Boxcar rapid (Class III) before you stop for a homemade BBQ lunch at the beautiful city park.  After our guests have filled up on Chicken, Pork Chop steaks, Salads, and Desert - the trip continues weaving through the canyon before you have the thrill of splashing through Oak Springs rapid (Class IV). After Oak Springs, guests will continue on to Sandy Beach where a friendly face and a bus will be waiting to shuttle the group around Sherars Falls. (*Note - White River Trip ends here) After being shuttled around the falls, clients relax and sightsee as they glide over 5 more river miles. Be sure to look up as these lower five miles are known for their BigHorn Sheep, Bald Eagles, stunning rock formations, and your occasional otter friend. You will remember the wildlife and breathtaking canyon ridges that line the river on this lower section for years to come. A shuttle will be waiting at the Pine Tree takeout to bring you back to the shop, where you can enjoy ice cream and view pictures of your family and friends going through the rapids.
