Tygh Valley Bluegrass Jamboree 2023

The Tygh Valley Bluegrass Jamboree will take place on September 22-24, 2023 at the Wasco County Fairground. We will have an array of performing musicians, open mic opportunities, workshops, food vendors - and plenty of jamming!

Admission for the entire event is priced at $45 per person, giving access to the Fairgrounds and event Friday through Sunday. There is no cost for dry camping this year. 

RV spots are priced at $60 per RV, to include both Friday night and Saturday night. To reserve your spot, or keep your spot reservation from previous years, contact Joanne.

Ticket purchase includes access to the Fairgrounds for the full 3-day event: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Dry Tent/Small Vehicle Camping
Cost: free

Dry camping without hook-ups is at no charge this year for Friday night, and Saturday, into Sunday morning. Camping spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you arrive before Friday, or want to stay past the end of the festival, you will then pay Wasco County Fairgrounds directly for your extended stay.



RV Spots with Hook-ups
Cost: $60/RV to include 2 nights
Payable to Tygh Valley BG Jamboree this year, rather than to Wasco Co. Fairgrounds


A single RV spot purchase will include both Friday night and Saturday night.

We know most of you already have your favorite spots from previous years. To reserve your location at the Fairgrounds, or keep your RV location from previous years, contact Joanne. We plan to do everything possible to accommodate your requests.

Maupin Madness

MAUPIN MADNESS RALLY
June 8th-11th, 2023

10-year Madness Anniversary!

Arrive Thursday afternoon, get set up and ready to ride all day Friday. Bring your skills for the slow races and more for the evening.  Ride all day Saturday – do a poker run route you’ve never done before and then win some cool swag in the raffle, enter your bike in the show, play your poker hand and enjoy some good food, good beer and dance to the band.  Pack up Sunday, say ta-ra to your new found friends and wind your safe way home.

We have a lot of fun planned for you for the whole weekend!

We are utilizing the whole of The Oasis Riverview Campground with vendors, food carts and more. You can dry camp with us, right where all the fun will happen. We have portapotties, running water but no showers!  Book the campground along with your ticket, some trailer and RV availability there too – call me :: 503 816 9640 to check on availability.   More space, more fun!!

Arrive on Thursday June 8th 9th 10th & leave on the 11th. Gives you two full days of riding – we will give you all the routes to choose from, mostly on-road with a few off-road options, gpx maps and on paper.  Cascade Moto is our major sponsor again, and providing two days of off-road training for those that would like it.  Space is limited, so don’t wait too long to book your spot!

 

Proceeds from this event split between Maupin’s Legion Hall which is being upgraded and brought back to life, with a bar for members in the works, and the group we’ve supported for a few years now – Veterans Back 40 – they provide a supportive and healthy outlet for Veterans seeking to reconnect with the camaraderie found in military service.  They are local and you can find out more here: https://vb40adv.org/about-us/

A celebration of wild fish. The party will include delicious food & drink, and a variety of workshops and representatives from the best fishing gear manufacturers. An all-day event in Maupin, sponsored by the Deschutes River Alliance.

The Deschutes River Alliance is a non-profit conservation organization founded by individuals, organizations and businesses who are passionate about the lower Deschutes River and whose driving desire is to do everything necessary to protect and enhance the ecosystem functions that support the lower Deschutes River’s unique and remarkable environment. Ride the Rapids

Join us for the 2nd Annual Ride the Rapids Deschutes River at the Wasco County Fairgrounds. The ride in 2021 brought people together to experience the amazing beauty of rural Maupin in October. All three rides take you along the Deschutes River, winding you along the rapids, climbing to beautiful vistas, showing off mountain views and an incredible waterfalls. At the end of all routes, we will host an event expo, music, beer garden and food carts at the Wasco County Fairgrounds.

RIDES: 61 mi (Metric Century Ride), 39 mi, 20 mi

START/FINISH: Wasco County Fairgrounds

PRICE: $50 registration with $100 fundraising requirement (Adults), $20 registration with no fundraising requirement (Kids). See below for more information on fundraising.

THE GOAL: To support local youth sports and activities in rural communities.
