From Maupin, you can easily get to Mt. Hood and the Mt. Hood National Forest, the John Day Fossil Beds, the Columbia Gorge, and the historic Barlow Trail. Be sure to visit scenic White River Falls, a short drive from Maupin. The ghost town of Shaniko, the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, the Museum at Warm Springs, and the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center are among the area’s many attractions.
